Wintergreen Ski Resort
If you are joining us for a getaway weekend and are looking for some winter fun, Wintergreen Ski Resort is a great place to enjoy the outdoors while enjoying your time away from the office. Wintergreen is a short 23 mile drive from our front door and has some of the most thrills around. This winter playground was named Best Snow Skiing Spot by the Washington Post.
With 25 trails, five lifts, a terrain park, ice skating and tubing there is plenty of fun to go around. All trails are groomed and have a 40-60 inch base which means this is the perfect place to snowboard or ski. Trails range from easy to advanced offering skiers of all skill levels a chance to enjoy themselves.
For the tubers, sessions begin at 9am each day. Due to popularity, sessions throughout the day typically sell out. Be sure to get your ticket in advance online so you don’t miss out on the fun! For the little ones, check out Ridgely’s Fun Park. This winter wonderland has activities such as a mini-tubing carousel, bear paw snow shoes, tunnels, sledding and other exciting activities that change from week to week. The treehouse has ski programs for the kids as well as nature walks, indoor play activities and crafts. Coming up on January 31 – February 1 is the Family Fun Festival.
