The Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail intersect in Waynesboro. The town’s center has a long tradition of welcoming guests and offering a diverse range of cultural experiences. To take it all in, go to one of the town’s three breweries or Blue Ridge Bucha’s kombucha taprooms.
The historic railroad
In Rockfish Gap, central Virginia, see the Blue Ridge Tunnel, one of the four longest tunnels made by Claudius Crozetto to reach the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Virginia Central Railroad used the tunnel from its creation till 1868 when the railway was renamed the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad.

Street art
Waynesboro, Virginia, is a beautiful Central Virginia destination. Many hiking routes, vineyards, cideries, as well as a kombuchery, blue ridge bucha, can be found in Greater Waynesboro, Virginia. The city’s Mural Arts Trail features the spectacular “Poochie” mural as well as the city’s expanding street arts sector.

Grand Cavern
Grand Caverns has been a National Natural Landmark since 1973 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 1974, Gladys Kellow gave the caverns and surrounding area to the Upper Valley Regional Park Authority.
In 1804 while collecting one of his traps, Bernard (Barnette) Weyer discovered Grand Caverns. Weyers Cave is the oldest continually operating show cave in the United States, having opened in 1806. It’s a short distance from Waynesboro and home to some spectacular and unusual rock formations.
