Make Waynesboro Clay Studio
This studio opened its doors in 2017, and since then, the Make Waynesboro Clay Studio has grown its facilities with a hand-building classroom, a kiln and glaze room, a wheel-throwing classroom, and a members-only classroom. This studio’s equipment includes electric ko¡ilns, raku kilns, on wheels, extruders, and slab rollers.
Jake Johnson, -a professional ceramic artist- operates Make Waynesboro Clay Studio. Jake is a famous, accomplished potter who has been working with ceramics since 2000 and selling his work through galleries, art fairs, and online shops. He earned a Penn State MFA in ceramics, a top ten clay program, and has taught workshops and university classes. Jake’s work is featured in galleries and collections across the country and has been included in over 50 juried and invitational exhibitions; He has been featured in the Virgina Living, the Lark Books 500 series, and Clay times. Originally from Peoria, Illinois, Jake and his wife have been living in Waynesboro since 2014, and you can see his artworks at Make Waynesboro Clay Studio.
Make Waynesboro Clay studio believes there’s a never-ending room for growth in ceramics, and it proudly welcomes every person, whether they’re beginners, experienced potters, or occasional hobbyists, to be proud of this community. This well-equipped studio offers classes and memberships and hosts private small group events.
