Visit the Scenic splendor of Waynesboro

Waynesboro is one of the cities in Virginia that has beautiful sites but still remains underrated. In fact, there are several things that you can do in Waynesboro! Just like day hiking in Shenandoah National Park or how about visiting the most popular caverns in Virginia? Well, worry no more because what I have here is a guide of what you can do in Waynesboro! For no wasted time, check it!

Shenandoah Valley Art Center

Located in the heart of Waynesboro is a non-profit art center: The Shenandoah Valley Art Center. It was founded in the 1980s; this gallery aims to be a community hub that supports local artists. It also hosts a number of exhibitions throughout the year, from 10 main exhibitions to smaller ones. During fall, the center hosts art festivals in the area, featuring resident musicians, artists and food trucks that serve delicious food in the valley.

Barren Ridge Vineyard

Virginia has many great vineyards. In fact, you can find plenty of it around Waynesboro! But what I suggest you check is the Barren Ridge Vineyard; it is located 7 miles from the town center.  This vineyard started off as an apple orchard when Virginia was the largest apple producer in the United States. But suddenly in the 1960s, the apple industry crashed and partially lost to nature. Come visit to see and know more about this area!

Wintergreen Resort

For thrill-seekers, Waynesboro’s surrounding mountains are for you! There are epic hiking trails and ski runs working their way through the mountains. Wintergreen is a ski resort that has 26 slopes and trails; there are also several lifts that will return you to the top! The slopes always have decent snow coverage that either falls naturally or is topped up with artificial snow during winter.
