When Christmas arrives in Virginia

The holiday season in Virginia is among the most magnificent times of the year. Many of the best places to get into the Christmas spirit in Virginia are the ornamented significant streets. This holiday season, spend time strolling around Virginia’s lovely major streets to fill your days with delightful festive cheer.

Main street – Narrows

Narrows is just a tiny rural town on the banks of the New River in Southwest Virginia. Main Street near Narrows has several holiday events, including one with a parade and the Farmers Market. The Route 460 bridge is decorated out for the holidays and the streets are lined with lights and vignettes.

Staunton, Beverly St.

Beverley Street in Staunton decorates its shop windows with colorful decorations during the holidays. Holiday lights are wrapped along with the city’s highway lamp posts, creating a beautiful sight like Norman Rockwell’s artwork.

Middleburg, Washington St.

Middleburg’s downtown looks like a scene from “A Christmas Carol” about holiday decorations. The town’s grand Christmas tree glowed brightly outside the local Visitor Center and Washington Street is adorned with brilliant lights, antique wooden Christmas ornaments cover the lamp posts and the town’s spectacular Christmas tree is draped with dazzling lights. When the holiday decorations are mixed with the crisp December air, it is just lovely.
